From time to time (rarely) I've had a look at the forum over the past few months, only to find how much it's been taken over by keyboard fascists.
In so many threads a massive moan about some 'foreigner' or 'immigrant' doing something awful - in some cases they have, to be fair.
However.... Even when they haven't, they have.
And..... Just about every thread has one of the regular twunts berating the "lefties" for arguing or setting up opposition to whatever terrible deed has been done, when no-one has ever argued or berated, such is the desperation to cause grief on here.
Why it is supposed "lefties" support some of the world's horrors when they actually don't and never have, I'm not certain. Perhaps it helps most of those who remain on here pat each other on their indignant backs whilst feeling better about themselves.
Then, there's the perpetual moaning about the BBC whenever they (the BBC) say something they (the twunts) don't want to hear.
The BBC is and always has been a right-wing organisation that leans towards the whim of any current government largely in order to protect the licence fee. It is staffed (particularly it's political department) by mostly ex Tory activists and party workers and the occasional Bullingdon boy, as well as the people at the head of the organisation being friends with some high-ranking government ministers.
In the mid 1960's a half-arsed "study" which was not properly attended (deliberately) falsely reported a left-wing bias. This proven lie has stuck and coupled with the BBC's use of the most diverse and 'Politically Correct' methods, which have ZERO to do with political leanings but are perceived as 'leftist', thus giving so many of the current users of this place something on which to hang their vitriol.
In short, you twunts have spoiled the forum. It's as if it's sponsored by the Daily Mail. Loads of people don't use it any more, a majority of your rants are unfounded supposition-riddled Bullplop and it's a big shame.
Personally, I think you could take it to the politics forum and maybe nice people, fun, games, competitions, advice, interesting and silly stuff could return to chit-chat.
Until it does, like so many others, I won't be a frequent visitor.
I feel better for that, now feel free to slate me.

Maybe some of them got banned. Maybe betfair might realise that they had a unique forum and then ruined it by banning so many characters.
Now I look at it whilst playing poker and there is nothing to reply to, even if I wanted to chance not having crags or similar abuse me.
Even threads remembering 'the ducks' evoke fond memories, even though when i first read the 'ducks' thread I was shocked at the outrageous sexual replies. I learnt a lot about men from that thread! And at my age I thought I knew men

Betfair spoiled the forum, inflicting us with a faulty slow pile of cheap piss. The thing is on borrowed time anyway so we won't need to worry about what is posted.
I don't agree with people playing the abused card either, crags, but until I posted on this forum I hadn't been abused by men in my life. Then I was and I saw how upsetting it can be. It is not like in real life when if someone is nasty to you and tells lies about you you just don't speak or see them again. On here it is not possible. Anyone can post anything they want, including lies about you, I am thinking of you crags.
I think decent people on here know what I have had to put up with from you and others. A load of men on here are bitter about women and take it out on me. But since I have made it clear that I will report abuse, after several warnings, it has got better - except for you.

There is not a lot of point for the politics forum because nobody changes their politics.

I understand this. I was lucky being a woman when I was younger that I was attractive, but unfortunately men can't just be attractive to have any success with women. It is sad in a way because men do not realise that no matter how ugly or old they are they can still be attractive to women, unlike women.
An acquaintance of mine had a crush on her daughter in law's FATHER who was about eighty! Her previous husband had been about forty years younger.
I understand this. I was lucky being a woman when I was younger that I was attractive, but unfortunately men can't just be attractive to have any success with women. You see our society has changed a lot since the 1960's when I left school Annie
and it was much more a male dominated society, which I liked.
You would be amazed at the difference between to TV programs we had then and now......
Although we had some butch women Honour Blackman and Diana Rigg with their Judo and Karate stuff.
I think one problem is we are trivialising sex much too much in our society now. It is not quite the jolly fun we think it is,
it is too important for that.
People get seriously hurt, their lives completely destroyed, I have known some kill themselves.
It is sad in a way because men do not realise that no matter how ugly or old they are they can still be attractive to women, unlike women.

That is actually quite hard Annie. If we feel strongly for some one it can actually hurt. So in the end we either have to win them or go away from them completely. Being just a friend is hard.

I have to say, Studyform, knowing what little I do about you, I am absolutely astonished by your original posting, to the extent that I wonder whether your account has been hacked. In all my years on here I have never been more astonished. And that includes all the abuse I have received over the years regarding the Holy Grail and my political views. I am absolutely staggered, and that really does take some doing!

There was always something to laugh at too. Now, whether it's just the result of a tough society or the hijacking of nearly every subject on here most of the humour is somewhat dissipated.
Annie - Following my giving up the betting shop, my new life couldn't comprise more different (or much harder) work, I'm still a bit under the cosh financially (Ces't la vie). I might divulge its nature one day, when I'm feeling better about the forum.
