A DISGRACE , Local Community Kids etc should be given a chance to attend ,Schools from all over Brazil ,and cheap tickets made available to General Public ,at least they would then be made feel part of the games ...

yep one thing seeing vast swathes of empty seats at some of the more minor olympic sports quite another for evening sessions of the athletics
i know you have spread these events around a bit but having some basic level of enthusiasm in the home nation is important surely ? seems like a vanity project for the brazilian government that they could ill afford and hardly anyone was interested in |

How come the vibrant people of the favelas aren't descending on the venues en masse to show us their enthusiasm ? |

Yes Empty Seats prefererd to Locals or Brazilian Children .Imagine being a kid and being able to attend be something they would never forget ,THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT ,Righty Oh !! A disgrace ..
