If something goes wrong on an aircraft you are on board with people who will not have the ability to fix it.
pilots have to have knowledge of aircraft systems, but this is no substitute for someone who has spent their working life in an engineering and fault finding and practical environment. they can fix things if something goes wrong, they can cobble together a solution and have the technical and practical skills to do so. |

No - all you need these days with the mass of computer control over the Aircraft ...is one Pilot and a Dog.
The Pilot is there to feed the dog ....the dog's there to bite the Pilot if he touches anything... ![]() |
