I went 25+ years ago and it was ok then. I played a golf course there named Freshwater Bay in Afton Down. All the holes were named and one of the holes was named the drop. A 186 yard par 3, where you hit the ball off a top of a cliff with no perception of distance and hoped it came down somewhere on/near the green. It was a pretty good course.
