"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs..." |

Not much one can say....we presume everybody has some level of intelligence?
I feel sorry for his next of kin |
By:
He only has himself to blame r.i.p

All windows should be metal-meshed.....kids and idiots throw stuff out the windows.
By:
a good idea leopard
By:
Couldn't get my, ahem, head round the apparent contradiction in the article.
Seems his head just got knocked off, but medical staff did all they could to help him. |
By:
How close are trains together....he must have been 0.5 metres out the window !

Ahh the young ones

By:
did they even try to resuscitate him?
By:

Was probably gawping at Rhianna from Battersea's thrupennies. Qualifies for a Darwin award in my opinion.
By:
I cannot seem to follow your train of thought on this matter
By:
I read that a man was being treated for a head injury. What on earth did they do to treat him?
![]() RIP |
By:
no doubt the usual suspects will be along soon to blame moslems for this beheading. what do we know about the train driver?
Rhianna from Battersea ran away "because it was disgusting!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l1o5tFgHqI |

is that the new English language shes talking in that link - init - street talk

By:
I wonder if there has ever been an incident where two people on adjacent trains have put their heads out of their windows and.. have made contact.
By:
that crossed my mind earlier Mmh
By:
You would be entitled to call them nutters MMH.
By:
One person could of calculated that by putting his head out not to far he could avoid the on-coming train but hadn't calculated that there would be another nutter doing exactly the same thing on the other train.
By:
Qualifies for a Darwin award in my opinion.
Most definitely foinavon....can we really legislate for someone this dumb! |

Would stop decapitations as well.

"Qualifies for a Darwin award in my opinion"
Yep big contender for "Darwin Award for the Year" ? Have they found the head yet ? |
By:
Would make it more difficult to rescue people or escape a fire in the event of an accident.

My late dad worked on the railway. Pick and shovel merchant, nothing fancy. The instructions given were to walk away from the line when a train approached and to turn your back on it.
So he and a few other guys were facing the embankment when an express went past. The man next to my dad dropped to the ground. The back of his head was caved in. Later inspection showed that he had been struck by a bread roll in a paper bag that had been thrown from the train. Maybe it was a hard, stale roll or maybe the fact that it was travelling at over 120mph killed him. The reason for turning your back on the train was in case somebody flushed the toilet. The cassette system as used on aircraft wasn't used on trains back then. |

'A passenger was THOUGHT to be decapitated'..
Yes, tremendously committed and highly intelligent journalism there. Either he was or he wasn't, how can he be 'thought to have been decapitated' Journalism is the profession which has gone downhill the most over the past 20 years... |
By:
Turning your back was bad advice Gallivanter...Your dad was badly advised there.
We need to see danger to avoid it. This is not the first passenger who has been killed putting his head out of a train window, although usually it is usually on the passenger side when the train is moving. I am not sue what we can do to stop this, if people insist on doing this?????????????????????????????????????? Despite all warnings |
By:
isn't that Adrian's gag in the young ones?
By:
I can't remember Zorro...great series
Yes as Knight says, people would probably notice if a body had a head or not...I do not believe people would need to have a think about it. |
By:
when i'm on a train i normally sit on the seats, it doesn't really cross
my mind to put my head out the window, how close are trains apart? you'd think you would really have to stick your head out to get it knocked off? |
By:
I agree Ron..I don't what this man thought he was doing, we wont ever know now
