It shouldn't be. As particles of matter are created, their anti-matter equivalent should also be created, leaving no matter. Thus the universe, the space that it is, should contain no matter.

It has been postulated that the mass of all the matter that exists in the Universe exists because somehow more matter than anti-matter was produced in the nanoseconds after the big bang. I am entirely unsatisfied with this assumption.

If the rules of physics are right the Universe should be a vast empty space.

if i do a painting on a canvas. does some part of that canvas question what's going on? will the microbes on a tiny bit of vermillion evolve and take over that canvas?

the galactic empire of mold?

i'll spray bleach on it and clean it up?

before the big bang there was nothing except the little pea holding the entire contents of the future universe.so I guess it was very heavy with all that mass of every single thing.so why did it not collapse in on itself and form a blackhole.
and what force held it back from collapsing,so if it expanded there is a problem.it means there is no such thing as a blackhole.Cool
Report brassneck August 9, 2016 12:59 AM BST
unless of course we are expanding in a blackhole at this moment in time.Shocked
Report brassneck August 9, 2016 1:23 AM BST
this is quite possible that our universe is expanding in the centre of one enormous super massive blackhole ,it would also explain why our universe is speeding up,but it also means that Brassnecks theory disagrees with mr steven Hawkins theory that nothing escapes from a blackhole not even light.brass says that our universe has not reached the event horizon that has swallowed it up in the first place and that expansion rate only covers 93 billion light years across.so mr Hawkins its back to the drawing board for you when you do my maths and may your god go with you now that you have run out of theories.
Report zorrostrikes August 9, 2016 1:40 AM BST
looks like mass is squeezing mr Hawkins into a tighter and tighter space?
soon fit him in a shoe box?

Mr Hawking has spent a lifetime doing higher maths that 99% of people (including me) wouldn't have a clue about.
Mr Hawking's maths now being challenged by Mr Brassneck's arithmetic.
Does Mr Brassneck have God on his side?
We await developments. Hopefully sparks will fly. Excited

In a lot of updating of science, either theories go out of fashion?
get proved or are disproved - Einstein has a lot that has been left
standing. But mr Hawking's theories are rather limited and become
more and more discredited in his life time.
Physics have to match up to reality. But a lot of theories are WHAT IF
scenarios.
HE does write a lot of books, maybe he should concentrate on concrete science.

celebrity Physics is a new field.

" Once asked how he felt about being labeled the world's smartest person, he responded: "It is very embarrassing. It is rubbish, just media hype. They just want a hero, and I fill the role model of a disabled genius. At least I am disabled, but I am no genius."

Physics tom man - EINSTEIN's hero is James Clerk Maxwell.

He says GOD made the Universe.
and EINSTEIN mentions him a lot too. (although he didn't quite cross the threshold?).

but if you change the words (dark energy) to god a lot of people get offended.but I think that soon science will have a maths formula that explains the theory of everything using the D E symbol which is really the G symbol but they will put a lot of spin on it pretending its dark energy(which the can not prove exists but they know its there=sounds to me like the G factor)
Report brassneck August 9, 2016 11:35 PM BST
in other words E=MC SQUARED +G.this formula will keep everyone including quantum happy, and they can all agree.
Report brassneck August 9, 2016 11:44 PM BST
they will argue for a few years over this formula.

E=MC SQUARED +DE )OR (E=MC SQUARED + G) but both are the same.and then they can prove anything they want to prove using anyone of them.

Albert Einstein wrote: about James Clerk Maxwell (God Believer).

The precise formulation of the time-space laws was the work of Maxwell.
Imagine his feelings when the differential equations he had formulated
proved to him that electromagnetic fields spread in the form of polarised
waves, and at the speed of light! To few men in the world has such an
experience been vouchsafed ... it took physicists some decades to grasp
the full significance of Maxwell's discovery, so bold was the leap that
his genius forced upon the conceptions of his fellow workers
