Glenn Tilbrook was on tour and was hired by my friend for her local co-operative community hall here in Scotland. He named his fee, which was cheaper than a decent wedding band, and when she asked him what he wanted on the rider for the gig he said "Two pints for me, and three fish and chips for me, the missus and the boy after the gig." When asked what hotel he wanted to stay in, he insisted that wasn't necessary as he was bringing his camper van to Scotland for the gig and they would kip at the seashore in it. Also had loads of time for everyone after the gig, one of the good guys.

Missed it.
![]() There was a BBC commemoration of the 1966 WC Final on the Red Button at the weekend. They had various bands performing songs from the era. Squeeze did 'Friday On My Mind'. Glenn certainly is a top bloke. |
