One of the most depressing cases I've read about in a long while - not least because of the amount of opportunities which were missed for an intervention to ensure she got home safely.
Exactly ^ Even the initial cab driver who insisted on cash up front. 
he was in his late forties........dressed like a muppet, bald etc.........if he was not intoxicated, she would have brushed him off pronto........
