Yes!

The sooner Ron Russian is taken out of circulation, the easier Inspector Knacker and peace-loving folk of England can sleep soundly in their beds once more.

No, Syrian refugees have been infiltrated by ISIS, also as Sunni Muslims their sympathy may be with ISIS.

We should be grateful we are out the EU.

Merkel's offer mays have been humanitarian, but she has miscalculated.

The hate levels in the Middle East are off the clock. Muslims/Arabs are killing themselves to kill us

this is bad.

I am still sceptical of the role the EU has played in destabilsiing Syria.Flushed with their success in Libya and Egypt and Tunisia I do wonder what the real truth is regarding the incitement to have a populist rebellion against Assad. Now Sir John Chilcot is free perhaps he could be given the job of finding out the truth ?

I agree there treetop

You are right bigmo, it is not going well, things have moved on too fast.

We can offer all the aid we want to Syria, as long as people stay in Syria.

We must seriously look at ending the civil war in Syria, or Europe is going to pay for this, which we are at the moment

The war is perpetual. Iraq and Syria have been hit. Leaked classified documents claim the USA, the West are to strike Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran. Wars for Oil, Gas and natural resources.

Major wars over oil have been fought every decade or so since World War I. What we are now seeing is a whole cluster of oil related clashes.

It is of no consequence, whatever the reasons behind so many of the conflicts in todays world it is imperative for all nations that the west should win these wars, by that i would mean the democratic and christian nations.

No one wins wars but the already rich and elite. The citizens all suffer.

millions of people who if they say something, the wrong thing can have themselves killed by religious lunatics, and nothing and none of their fellow citizens will save them

We cannot force Western values on other societies. We may use gentle persuasion that is all.

Iraq/Syria, South Sudan, the Crimea/Ukraine, and the South China Sea – to argue that the desire to control valuable oil and gas assets is fuelling long-standing historic tensions. “In a fossil-fuel world, control over oil and gas reserves is an essential component of national power.”

Lots of informative websites to search through.

yes it is lovely to have choice ebul, i am starting to believe that we should set up different countries, with perhaps 10 or 20, whatever many different ways of living and people could choose to live in whichever should be for them
that way eveeryone could be free and democratic or not, that is something to consider is it not?

Oil and gas supplies are becoming scarcer and more expensive. The hunt for the world's remaining resources is creating fresh conflicts over the dwindling resources of the Middle East and Africa.

this is the real future for democracy, democracy is by its very nature exclusive.
it requires people who believe in the same basic values, not different values.

that way there would be no necessity to force values on anyone, we could say here is that country and its the one for you.
some countries may not have many citizens.
