I read about it. She got out of her car. FFS.
I used to be a frequent visitor to zoos and wildlife parks until it dawned on me what a miserable existence it is for most if not all the animals.
I know some are used for breeding purposes where numbers are getting low but it still must be a terrible life for them.

The woman can blame nobody but herself..sad r.i.p, but that is the truth of it

Certainly in the west the animal is automatically killed.
Not sure what the rules are in China but I'd guess the same.

Sad to see anyone lose their life but this was an act of pure stupidity.

I read a bit about it.  The woman who got out first survived. it was the other woman (maybe her mother) who tried to save her, that was killed. I suppose it's easy for us to say how stupid she was, but when she wakes in hospital, she will be hit by the realisation that she got her (mother?) killed and put the rest of her (family, presumably?) in mortal danger. I guess that is punishment enough for her recklessness.

A man was first followed by her mother.
I know what yer saying Des but hard to sympathise with her.
The mother was particularly brave to try to go to the aid of her daughter.

I just watched it, nothing too graphic, but I can imagine some people being really upset after watching it. All to do with an argument apparently and she stormed out of the car. Brave attempt by her husbband/partner to rescue her. RIP.

The second woman was killed by another tiger that leapt at her after she stepped out of the vehicle to try to help her companion, the report said.

That's slightly different from the report I originally read.
But both highlight that it was the woman who went to her aid who was killed with the original actually saying it was her mother.

Thanks for that aka, but I get more upset when people kill animals. Not that it wasn;t a tragic accident.

Basically: zoo guy leaves gate open, stupid people go into gate into private area I believe knowing they shoudln't, woman lets kid wander when taking photos, wolf nips hand of kid (like just nips it a little), wolf gets killed for it.
