A few weeks ago I made an online order and part of it was for some basil.
The picture just showed basil leaves but it came as a living pot plant.
I wasnt really sure what to do with it, I guess the idea is you pick leaves off it as you go, but to me that just seems weird.
I couldnt do it, it would be like keeping it prisoner while I ate it slowly keeping it alive.
So Ive kept it as a pot plant and its started to flower which I never knew basil did.

I once read that plants give off a very high frequency 'scream' if you pull bits off them.
They also can sense when the person who did it is close by, by only doing it when that person re enters the room.

btf, my Dad wanted to name me Aloysius but Mum overruled him! Ironically my partners nickname for me is Aloysius Snuffleupagus, the character with the huge eyes from Sesame Street

I'm appealing.. According to the wife! Incidently my late mother in law was Freddie Truemans next door neighbour.
