They're too entrenched.
Propaganda would kill any politician that tried to shut them down. ten percent of all civil court cases are BBC related. (lawyers must love them). If I was in the government, the only way to deal with them would be to slash the funding to £75 a year. Then say they have to go subscription within three years. 4.5 billion makes you a mini state. Hard to stand up to them. |

Love the BBC here, they should be allowed to increase license fee in line with inflation - alot of people that moan about the BBC are paying Sky hundreds a year for their commercial-ridden garbage. BBC at least try to educate, enlighten and inform - Sky may do so inadvertently but its definitely not their agenda

People pay hundreds a year to Sky for the sports. I can't imagine anyone would pay a penny otherwise.

Did 'FatherMaguire' stop watching the BBC
in 1980. Coz the bbc haven't been doing all that stuff in years. Dropped most of their documentaries. Open University is Gone. what science programs they screen have political agendas attached. Or are 'what if' science shows like HORIZON. (if maybe but ) |

I like BBC4 though, they have some good stuff on there The BBC of the 1960's and 1970's had a high reputation, but has dropped a lot since then. |
