The problem is normally caused by accidentally muting the sound, but as you can hear crackling it must be a speaker or connection issue. Do you have a spare set somewhere in the house you could swap over and try?

No, I don't PokerDane, but I have ended the games, couldn't be bothered with the hassle, as I had won enough to cover the entry fees and I don't play for much. I will try and sort it out later.

Deos headphone socket work? There's little info to go on here! Separate speakers? Monitor speakers?
If separate with a standard plug, plug that into like an mp3 player or phone (at low volume initially) to check them? |
