Thanks. I'll not bother buying any gloves while I'm there.

At first, if you get the impression people are staring at you, don't worry too much. Most of the locals have got squinty eyes.

I live about 6 miles away, can't think of anything, no, plenty of places in Wroxham to hire a boat and cruise the broads for a day, if you have kids then try Wroxham barns, if you like the beach then you're spoilt for choice, visit Cromer or Sheringham or Wells Next The Sea.  Pop into Norwich and have a stroll around, plenty to see.  If you like tacky seaside crap and can speak an Eastern European language then Great Yarmouth it is.

Cheers Alpha. No kids.Think we'll try Cromer and Sheringham. Staying in Coltishall.

Take a run through to Hunstanton on a warm, sunny evening.  Depending upon where you're coming in from, of course!

Not many amazing sunsets on the east coast.

the only part of east coast Uk where you see the sun set over the sea .

The Welcome to Lincolnshire road sign is my favourite sight by far in Norfolk.

Go to Wells Next The Sea. Walk down to the café then turn left and go along the forest paths to Holkham, then out onto the beach to walk back along the sand to Wells past all the multi coloured beach huts. Cracking walk.

Also just east of Wells there's a little miniature railway that's worth a trip:

Sheringham is nice, Cromer worth a visit.

If you weren't staying in Coltishall I'd have suggested hiring a day boat from Wroxham and boating to Coltishall for lunch in the Rising Sun where you can moor up right outside, very picturesque. But as you are, hire a day boat from Wroxham and go the other way, stopping for lunch in Horning which is also a nice little place.

Enjoy, Norfolk is a lovely place.

Nice little trip. Stopped off at Fakenham en route to Wells, couldn't
park up to do the walk so moved on to Blakeney and did a very nice walk from there.Stopped off at Newmarket today on the way home and walked a bit of the Rowley Mile.Very tranquil when deserted. Thanks for all the tips. I can thoroughly recommend the Norfolk Mead Hotel.

I didn't have that particular pleasure. I did see a lot of fat birds with tattoos though.
