Want to see how trigger happy the cops there are? Look at this one. Rings doorbell, dog ambles out casually wagging tail to say hello, gets shot in the face. Kenny Mann may not be best pleased:

And last year one tried to shoot a dog, and missed as they slipped and killed a woman standing next to it.
Just another day in the US of shoot first and ask questions later. In WW2 there was a saying: When the Germans shoot, the British duck When the British shoot, the Germans duck When the Americans shoot, EVERYONE ducks. It's not changed much has it. |

Actually original saying might have been "RAF fly over" etc, but you get the idea. They've had at least 70 years of a reputation of being incredibly trigger happy.

They have had 8 years with a Black President, yet relationship between the black and white communities in the USA appears to be worst than ever. Perhaps they should split into two countries? They will never allow that to happen as it would weaken them too much. I just the USA would stop trying to prove something. It does have to be better than any other country. It is there to stay. But it it's own society appears to be disintegrating. |

The USA has many good points and many good people.
But it seems so vulnerable to the extremes all the time. Extremes of anything are never good, the boring middle of the road is usually the best. |

USA cops have an impossible job, imo they should all resign given the gun laws.
An American cop can go to any scenario basically knowing he will end up dead if he is not a mind reader. |
