REAP THE WILD WIND...out in the open seas, a guy chucks a monkey into the water - the monkey goes mental and Paulette Goddard uses an oar to save it...Goddard takes the monkey home to the deep South, where it climbs the curtains and generally takes every opportunity to annoy the flying fook out of the obese black servant lady...then Goddard gets spanked by Ray Milland after she sings a bawdy sea shanty to a scandalised crowd of genteel southern ladies...John Wayne, rather than fighting in the Second World War, trys his best to bring some sense of decorum to this monkey-inspired chaos.......I went for a cheese sandich 20 minutes in, but I suspect this might yet be THE GREATEST FILM EVER.

Audie Murphy would beat the crap out of John Wayne.
That guy was mental. Always the little guys you have to watch out for in a fight. |

No one, but no one, would beat Ely in a fight. The man genuinely swung from trees and wrestled with lions as Tarzan.
Even Oddie settled for Ely buying him a pint when the latter's Tarzan cry sent the wildlife scattering on Oddie's Africawatch special. |

Audie Murphy killed 250 germans. with a blunt knife during the war.
John Wayne was eating cake under the table, hiding from the draft. |

Bas Rutten V Audie Murphy would be a classic.

Has he killed 250? I think not.
Audie would break his shins and tear off his head. |
