They seem to be backtracking over UK leaving the EU causing a recession. Forecast next year is 1.7% and 1.3%, second best in G7 group. Who would have thought that with all our young people up in arms about Brexit affecting their future ? Perhaps they will learn to be more sceptical of siren voices instead of abusing their parents votes.

If the IMF inversed every prediction that they made, their accuracy would be astounding!

That's 1 (there's more) of the things that peed me off during de referendum. Why did not someone from Brexit pull up the doom mongers on precisely that?

Campaign ( Economists for Brexit )co-chairman Patrick Minford said: "The IMF report, like the Treasury's, uses flawed models and makes wrong, deceitful assumptions to project doom and gloom from Brexit whereas with solidly based models and assumptions Brexit gives the UK more growth and better living standards."

Take a bow Patrick Minford.

F*ck the lying IMF.

patrick minford told thatcher if she followed his advice unemployment would go up from one million to two million, she did and it actually went up to three million.

he says the fact that his model didnt predict the biggest economic crisis in nearly a hundred years is a sign of its strength rather than its weakness, go figure that one out.

his forecasts are about as reliable as those of the imf.

he is just as biased as any other economist but in his own particular way.
