Famous People Called Gideon

Gideon Coe

does a Gideon bible count?

There was a programme on telly in the 60's, called Gideon's Way.

John Gregson played George Gideon.

Cricket writer Gideon Haigh

I'd never heard of Gideon's Way until a few weeks ago when I came across an episode on youtube. I've been watching them since then and they are quite gritty for the times (early 60s).

Heard of ,but never seen Way .. Whats it about ?

As dixie says John Gregson plays George Gideon a Scotland Yard commander investigating mostly murders. It's like a lot of those ITC shows, The Saint, Randall and Hopkirk etc only a little earlier, I think. The violence is fairly strong and the murder often cold blooded for early 60s and they don't always get the criminal. Apart from Gregson other famous actors were in it as guest stars like Finlay Currie, Gordon Jackson and Donald Sutherland.

Gideons Way was a classic. A mobile version of Dixon of Dock Green.

Double dose of Gideon @ 9 o'clock.  Gideon Coe on Radio 6, & Malcolm Storry plays Gideon Langtree, In the Living & the Dead on BBC1.

More fictitious than real ones.
