Democracy has to rule whether we like it or not.

UK, US and Russia have caused the instability in this region that has spilled into Turkey, France and I'm sure future UK. Democracy has to rule.
Report grappler • July 16, 2016 10:42 PM BST
democracy has to rule? where in the middle eastern sh1tehole does democracy exist? actually, israel, but nobody is bothered about that. of course, it is our fault for causing 'instabliity'. we did not cause instability in nigeria, algeria, sudan, somalia, pakistan, egypt, turkey, etc, where inhuman acts of mass-slaughter occur every week. who's fault is that then?  maybe our secret services plot these vile acts. or the kgb, or cia, or interflora? only thing we can be sure of; it has nothing to do with islam.

Dictator....controlling the media....he hasn't got long.
Report Ovalman. • July 16, 2016 10:47 PM BST
WE, the UK have caused this instability in Syria.

Turkey had a free vote and chose their government, Democracy has to rule. The UK butchered the region 80 years ago and now we reap the rewrads.
Report Shrewd_dude • July 16, 2016 10:50 PM BST
WE, the UK have caused this instability in Syria.

So have Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Report Ovalman. • July 16, 2016 10:53 PM BST
Yes unfair, we are all fighting over the region. Syria is a pawn in a bigger picture but Europe is suffering atm.

I think guys that the Turkish people have more fear of being another Syria/Egypt than the increasingly Autocratic rule they presently have. Ordinary people facing down the army rebels, that's pretty desperate stuff.
Report The Leopard • July 16, 2016 11:14 PM BST
Not ordinary people....ringleaders they will have connections the the Erdogan regime and the rest  are sheep.

of course, without uk meddling, the middle east would be a beacon of progress, tolerance, and scientific advancement that would make silicon valley look like wolverhampton. the levant has been a byword for inhuman slaughter and oppression for millennia. it is not new. we did not cause it. we did not comprehend the nature of islam, and its absolutism. all we have achieved is spreading the misery. it is seldom mentioned that the middle east is the birthplace of christianity(and judaism), and the populace was invariably one or the other, but there are almost none left. why? because islam is not pluralist. the christians and jews have been forced out, or killed. just look at the demographics of the region through the ages. the persecution of 'kaffirs' is not new. a consequence of the expulsion of those unbelievers produced a sharp decline in the fortunes of the levant, as almost all the trade that went on between nations in the region was carried out by non-moslems. not much has changed in that regard. even now, in arab countries, every employee you encounter is foreign. overpaid ex-pats(loathsome, imo) or the poor banglis and philippinos treated like vermin do everything. arabs do pheck all. the islamic work ethic does not exist.

creationism is taught as fact in the arab lands. the protocols of zion are history books. sex education does not exist. science is scorned. the only book studied is you-know-what. no wonder this khazi is so horrible everyone wants to scarper to the 'decadent' west. tiny israel has more high-tech companies and and highly-skilled programmers than all its neighbours combined. they produce things the rest of the world wants. hell will freeze before the arabs do likewise. 8 million jews are more productive than a billion arabs.

^that was to ovalman, btw.

@ Grappler sorry I can't comprehend that, it's just a sea of rant.

Do you think I'm an apologist of Islam?

I'm a realist and a racist, I'm a WASP not that I care for the prod bit. I grew up from hate in NI, I'm still a 100% Unionist but my kids have friends of different religions. They know.

I despise religion but the older I get the more I despair and fear for my kids and my planet.

^^ I agree with that

It was directed at me but fook me did I have a clue what he was saying.

Will respond in my next post.

My point is Democracy has to rule whether we like it or not.

Syria/ Libya/ Egypt etc were tacitly supported by us when they wanted freedom, we encouraged them to riot and rebel. We helped create this mess.
Report grappler • July 17, 2016 12:17 AM BST
you cant comprehend it alright. unlike you, i dont despise all religion. some of them try to do good. you make the classic mistake of bundling them all together. they are not alike. they are all daft, but one inparticular is extremely dangerous. your background is irrelevant. the 'hate' you mention is nothing to the hecatomb that will be visited upon us unless we acknowledge uncomfortable truths about a certain faith.

and if your kids 'know' better than you, you are a fool. kids know nothing but airy-fairy castles-in-the air fantasies. and it aint your planet. if it was, you might not be in denial about the single most dangerous creation that mankind has so far come up with; islam. it has wrought death and destruction since it crawled out of the desert. but now, thanks to globalisation and western technology, ironically, two things that it could never have produced itself, it is wreaking havoc in the apotheosis of human civilisation, northern europe.

and mr.leopard; they aint paragraphs. they are sentences. you should serve one, preferably in the same cell as ovalwoman.

I didn't read your stuff because of the lack of paragraphs, nor will most of the other post viewers.

PS ...you need capitals at the start of a sentence.

He should start sentences with capitals but tbh grapplers original post is easier to read than the "edited" one.
Not sure why he doesn't use capitals, as the actual sentences are quite well written!
Report grappler • July 17, 2016 12:33 AM BST
why do you assume these people are children. we 'encouraged' to do this or that. bollox. there is something wrong with these people. they cannot create even a semblance of civil society. no freedom of association, no free press, no religious tolerance at all, women as slaves, barbaric cultural practices (fgm anyone?), persecution of homosexuals and adulterers, multiple wives, a total media blackout. state propaganda tv, etc.

and this is ALL the islamic countries. we cannot be accused of creating this stultifying, anti-intellectual hell. it is the nature  of the faith that they all must follow. islam will not be gainsaid. thats why these places have none of the basic human rights we all take for granted. stop looking to blame the west for the lamentable failures of every single country in the arab lands to provide a modicum of deceny for their own people. they simply dont think as we do.
