Fair enough. Ours doesn't get the sun so much and it's of poor quality. Definitely getting the AG but after some success stories if they're out there.

Make sure it's water-permeable and a layer of hardcore is applied underneath. It still won't prevent flooding in the event of a torrential shower - the lack of root structure or transpiration associated with grass will see to that. But at least it means you'll have avoided stage one (ripping up your plastic lawn after flooding to install drainage). Instead you can move straight on to stage three (ripping up your plastic lawn and drainage and reseeding the original grass).
The time taken to advance through the three stages is determined by how many of your neighbouring properties are flooded in addition to your own. |
