I opened a shop in my twenties and called it something catchy, I lived to regret it Sad

The business went fine but answering the phone with a silly name, and repeating it to others was not.

It wasn't that bad, it was a tv repair and sell shop and I called it Mr Fixit Happy

So, you didn't know anything about fixing TVs, but decided to open a TV repair shop and employed someone to fix the TVs.

Sounds quite plausible Crazy
Report annie. July 8, 2016 10:09 PM BST
I put my foot in it there, didn't I.

I couldn't call it Miss Fixit because I wasn't doing the fixing.  I did everything else though.  I got the shop, got the stock, paid the bills etc, dealt with the customers etc etc.  At that time it was very rare for a business to be owned by a woman.  It was only a small business though.
Report crags July 8, 2016 10:12 PM BST

ttt for TAC

Report dustybin July 9, 2016 4:51 AM BST
If you are serious about a business selling fruit and veg then you need to appeal to your target audience, not one you think is a good name.
Your potential customers want reminding of the rustic nature of eating well off the fat of the land, which is contrary to manufactured boxed sugar coated homogenised supermarket filth.

The name should be something like 'Muck'
Or
'Just Dug Up' (this one will work even better if you are old or ugly, what do you want, a smug name and no customers or one that sticks in people's minds even for the wrong reason and a pocket full of money?)

I'll tell you where to send the cheque for my consultancy genius when you are setup.

The posts were removed, presumably, because you swore at me crags.  I complained about it on chit chat but not to the moderators.

Will someone please help me about crags.  I pride myself on not lying to anybody and to have to come on here all the time while he tells fellow chit chatters I am lying is very upsetting.  I have to defend myself but it is stupid I cannot post without him twisting everything I say.

It's quite simple what to call your business.
You simply take the name of the town your shop is in and call it your town's name fruit and veg.

Like - Bewdley Fruit and Veg, or Bridgnorth Fruit and Veg.

If the name is already being used you simply add the year you opened the shop on the end.

Perhaps your shop is located near a landmark, then you could  call it by the landmark's name fruit and veg.
Which might be a toilet for instance.

In that case you might consider ''Public Urinal Fruit and Veg.'' Or ''Spend a Penny Fruit and Veg.''

Or perhaps ''One For the Pot.''
