That's asking for a monthly fee of £15.
You didn't respond to an email did you? Loads of scams doing the rounds. |
|
By:
Fortunately no I didn't, which is why I posted on here!
Just have to ask why Halfords allow this, as they surely must know about it! |

Was the offer in an email AP.
I've had them in my spam from 5 different companies. Hover the cursor over the email and you'll see it aint them. |

I emailed one of the ligit companies and sent some screenshots.
Replied but literally weren't that bothered as nowt they can do. |

Of course I know what it was. I was just drawing attention to it!
Crazily now I can't find it! |

I now recall that the offer was on the Halfords site and they are fully aware of it!
Very bad form from what you might think are reputable companies, who clearly know what is going on, and must certainly be getting a kick back for their involvement! I e-mailed Halfords and this is their response..... "Thank you for contacting halfords customer support in regards to next purchase discount. This discount is offered by Complete Savings. Complete savings This offer included £15 cashback on your next Halfords purchase and 30 days free Complete Savings membership. This offers online shoppers cahnce to get discounts from many online companies, I hope you find this helpful Kind regards Lisa Coleman Halfords Customer Support" I do recall having a months free trial on something else (might have been "Tastecard", not sure) without realising that I would then be billed for membership afterwards! Have to be so careful, because what the are counting on is that people forget to cancel, so will get hit for at least one payment before they realise! |

The Amazon Prime scam is similar except that it's £79!

Yeah, that's the one, not "Tastecard" They hit me for the £79.00 but refunded it, as I was quick to cancel, and hadn't used it! |

I used Prime and they had an automatic 1 month cancellation facility .....may have changed though.

Why are you surprised that Halfords would be involved with this scam?
|

Halfords is like Tesco. The customer is just a pawn in their game. Use only if there's nowhere else.
