With the population of this Country over 75 % white British ,Why is there such a High percentage of Non White people being employed by the BBC in all walks ,Spec as presenters of news sport and Local affairs ?

I was thinking the same myself when I was in England on holiday in April ,huge % of non white presenters .As you asked the question ,its starting to look that way isin't it...

Diversity is something the BBC appear to have taken into fifth gear territory. Full steam ahead. C4 as well.
Workrider above is spot on. It is something you do notice clearly. It looks like a mirror of London and perhaps other very urban areas, but not of the wider country. Again, shows the two country look prevalent now across the UK. A couple of the young sounding C4 news reporters almost sound to me that they are about to burst into an immediate rap. I just don't think they have a correct command of language either. The trouble is your attention is diverted to their amateurish delivery, and away from the news item itself. To me that sounds like dropping standards to accommodate a diversity agenda. I do wonder if managers and directors are given performance related pay to meet diversity targets, along with other appraisal areas. A few non white faces and then kerching!! Target reached. Can I have my PRP please? |

If you listen to the BBC world service on the radio during the night. You'll find that lack of clarity in the speech of most of the presenters is very pronounced. It seems a Caribbean accent is an essential part of the job. |

__________________ maybe - maybe not - Blacks don't get on too well with each other in African countries. All races are different between themselves . There are so many differences between Blacks in the UK that i would say there are far greater barmoters than simple race features. Education, image ,culture , personality all far greater determinants whether folk get on . Some Black guys i love ,some i can't stand ,same with Whites . Race is a nonsense term tbf . I wish society and the media would stop banging on about it . |

It is true coach. I have worked with and been friends with all sorts of shapes and sizes ages cultures etc.
That is both in their own countries and the UK. I have found if they assimilate (more or less) they seem to me to be far friendlier and easy to get on with. As one tries when going to other countries you try to go along with their mores/rules etc. There is, of course, one group who do not want to be part of our society. |
