They don't learn do they. The mess we created happened in Iraq. They removed the leader in Libya, it went the same way. STILL the likes of C4 news etc want to remove the Syrian leader: the leader who appears to be the only one preventing it from turning from a nasty civil war (that we encouraged to start) into the same sort of failed state...

Blair and the top brass were advised by the security forces.
Any decision was made by 10 to 15 people. We were right to remove the monster Saddam Husein. |

He helped caused iraq, 100,000s dead, Syria screwed, IS .. even the migrant crisis. He and Bush's fault.
Migrant crisis basically pushed the UK out of the EU. So he largely caused that as well. What a man! |

Iraq must take responsibility for their own country, they were given a great oppurtunity by the US and Britain to build a peaceful and free country.
Literally billions of dollars in aid and scientific and engineering and medical help has been given. They had the chance to build a beautiful and free country, just as Japan and Germany were able to do after WW2 |

Sunnis and Shia should have been separated into 2 countries....perhaps?

It seems that the same policy has been used repeatedly and failed repeatedly. You might think that the policy is actually working as intended. Why would that be desirable? Maybe getting them fighting themselves and using their money up doing so stops them getting the ability to attack us? Remember the Iran/Iraq war where the US kept that going by pretending to both sides that the US was their friend - is this the same policy now?

I watched 10 minutes and turned off.
Too tragic, too awful and oh so predictable. To invade a tribal Muslim country run by a dictator where even the Christians lived in peace was the height of madness. Dictators are mostly nasty rascals but the alternative can be far worse. Sure, remove SH but for the love of God have a plan for the future. |
