The EU want it done asap whereas The Conservatives want a new leader in place which will be at least a few months. There are also calls for another referendum and a general election (where anything could be promised) so my question is: what do you think the odds are on article 50 ever being triggered?

It will never be triggered. America clearly said they won't allow it. People are allowed to vote whatever they want. Politicians aren't allowed to do whatever they want.
