Saw Blur loads live in the 90s, simply awesome, and the 90s albums were brilliant...but lost a lot of respect for Damo, he's turned into Sting ffs

Blur were an incredible live band. Best of that era....but Damon is a privileged arty luvvie from his heritage. He admitted that his beef with Oasis was because he didn't have any working class friends so he didn't understand them.

Seems he is still a distance away from those 'charmless' working class.

WAC

The Blur frontman was seething when he opened the Other Stage on Friday. “I have a heavy heart today,” he said. “Democracy has failed us. Democracy has failed us because it was ill informed and I want you to know that when we all leave here, we can change that decision. It is possible.”

Leave was not The Universal decision but it was the majority and Damon has to live with it.

I just realised I bought a CD by gorrillaz when they came out, but I honestly can't remember listening to it!
I did like Blur in general, but the forced mockney could get a bit annoying.

Always shouting Power to the People, then toys out of the pram when it he doesn't like the result.
Best thing about this referendum is that We didn't listen to experts/celebrities. We voted with OUR thoughts. Brilliant.

Best statement I read today somewhere is from a "Leaver". He said he "feels 21 again".
Know what he means...everything is in front of us all again after a very long time.

Billy Bragg:

"My guess is there’s a lot of young people who woke up this morning thinking, there’s absolutely no way this country would be so stupid to vote us out,” he said. “You probably thought there’s no point in going to the polling station, I’ll let someone else do that. I’m not here to condemn them, after I made the mistake I got stuck into the fight. So now it’s your job to get stuck in."

Jarvis Cocker:

The Pulp frontman held up a sign with the URL of the petition for a second EU referendum during his secret DJ set with bandmate Steve Mackey, before encouraging fans to sign it.
