They would be totally dependent on the good will of England to transport goods coming and going with the rest of the EU. This scenario also has big impact now for southern Ireland. It will also be a big bargaining chip for us when negotiations start with the EU

If Britain was voting on whether to Leave or Remain in the EU & Scotland
voted in favour of Remaining in the EU, how can Nicola Sturgeon assume this means

They cannot have another referendum they had one two years ago....they decided to stay part of the UK, so have to accept

the majority democratic decision of the UK. They cannot just opt out of any democratic decision that does not suit Scotland.

If they rejoin the EU then factories my move to Scotland from other parts in the UK, to give them access to the single market.

Other areas in the UK will lose out, as will the remainder of the UK will as a whole.

Immigrants will come into Scotland, what is to stop them moving to other areas of the UK? So despite leaving the EU the UK

will still be taking in immigrants. Unless we establish a border between Scotland and the rest of the UK, this is expensive

and inconvenient.

In fact if Scotland rejoin the UK then so will the rest of the UK. So another referendum on the EU will be needed.

In fact the majority of Scottish voters voted on the whole of the UK remaining in the UK.

Now this includes Scotland Iknow, but there was no option on the referendum voting slip just to say Scotland

When the Scottish referendum took place it was known that Cameron would offer the UK a referendum on membership of the EU (he announced this in 2013). Therefore any vote to remain in the UK would have been placed with full knowledge that there was a fair chance that, when the EU referendum took place, the UK would exit. To therefore call for a second referendum in Scotland over membership of the UK insults the democratic will of those who voted to remain in 2014.

English & the Scottish get along fine (apart from sporting events, then we get drunk and kiss and make up), even though scots would like to be in the eu i reckon they would rather be in the uk given the ultimatum.

I would also add Ebul that it insults the intelligence of those who voted to remain as a call for a second referendum in Scotland implies that they would not have considered Brexit when making their decision in 2014.

Since Friday's result there have been some very silly people trying to make spurious arguments as to why the decision should be overturned. These people are democrats yet they could not be behaving more undemocratically if they tried.

The people of the UK have spoken and the majority have said that they wish to leave the European Union. That is all that matters.

Well all the referendum is telling us is that the majority of Scottish people would rather the UK remained in the EU,
nothing more.

Exactly, if the results were similar to the last referendum and most of Scotland voted to stay but Glasgow voted leave and it totalled 50.01% out, all talk of people being "dragged out against their will" would be forgotten. The SNP take hypocrisy to record levels.

Like the EU's really gonna miss Scotland...
