Maybe someone should tell her that she and her country had their referendum and they voted to remain in the UK.
Therefore they should accept the whole of the UK's decision on the matter. |

UK said vote NO to stay in EU

She keeps banging on about Scotland voted to remain in the EU.
Has no one told her that Scotland's votes where included in the referendum? There say is included in the figures. If remain won could the North East bang on about they voted to leave and want to leave the UK blah blah. I don't think so. |

she,s as mad as a box of frogs cried like a baby when osbourne said they cant have the pound, and oil was 100 a barrel, absolute no chance of scots saying yes we,ll have to drag,em out of the uk kicking and screaming

If they have a another referendum and win, do the new 'in' losers
then have the right to call for a best-of-3 referendum? |

Would Scotland, as an independent country, meet the necessary requirements for EU membership? Sturgeon appears to assume that they would be welcomed almost unconditionally.

The Scots will not have the automatic right to live and work in England, if they want independence.

You feel sorry for the Scottish that voted to Leave the eu &
now gotta vote again to stop being dragged back in |
|
By:
She's just posturing to save face. No one in Scotland wants another referendum for a long time and the people are not going to suddenly vote to seperate just because of EU membership
|
|
By:
About 1 million less people voted in the EU referendum in Scotland than in the Scottish independence referendum - admittedly partly due to the fact that 16 and 17 year olds were allowed to vote in the latter - but what happened to the new engagement with politics that was supposedly stimulated by the Scottish referendum?

How any country, in every region, can vote to remain in the EU tells us that something is very strange. Was their judgement clouded by anti-English sentiment? i don`t know.

Give them their referendum and watch Sturgeon squirm as she is forced to resign when the Sweaties vote to stay.

i make that more scots than English, look there are millions of Scots living and working in England, they have been welcome and it has been their right.
If they want independece they will no longer be welcome or have that right. It is important to be honest. |
|
By:
you see i million scots out of a nation of 5 million is quite a lot.
a few thousand English out of a nation of 60 million, is not that many funny how facts getr distorted |

I would much rather live in the Scotland @NicolaSturgeon described than the England of @BorisJohnson @Nigel_Farage |

From an earlier post:
According to the Petroleum Exploration Society of GB bulletins, just 16 exploration/development wells will be drilled this year, the lowest for decades. Decommissioning costs (removal of wells/installations) are estimated to be around £58 billion, mostly to be paid by the UK (or Scottish) government. With tax breaks etc, UK income from the North Sea this year is going to be about minus £1 billion, so I recall reading. You really dodged the bullet by voting to remain. The Scots are too smart to vote out again. They elect the SNP because they know - correctly - they will extract the maximum from the English. Meanwhile the SNP elected cohorts are in the process of showing themselves to be just as corrupt, venal, sexually depraved and prone to substance abuse and violence as any other political party. It was good while the dream lasted. |
|
By:
To me all those figures suggest the Scots are keener to get out of Scotland than the English are to get into Scotland.

There is no chance of Scotland voting to leave - self-interest.
Do not disturb the sleeping English dog. Very unpredictable, now. |

By:
bodil, I refer you to the McCrone Report. Also read up on the embargo on oil exploration in the Clyde estuary imposed by the MoD.
Two years ago, Better Together insisted - ad nauseum - that Scotland's place in Europe would only be guaranteed by a No vote in the indy ref. They lied. Similarly, they insisted that dozens of banks and other companies would move south of the border in the event of a YES victory. Now, let's see what happens IF Scotland becomes independent and in the EU. Maybe lots of companies desperate to operate within the EU will move NORTH to Scotalnd, bringing thousands and thousands of jobs. ![]() |

Alias, I tried to think of a response that wouldn't offend all the bleeding-heart/moronic/utterly delusional/Al-foil-wearing constituencies you seem to have conflated.
I failed. Respect. |
