For all his weaknesses he is a what being british is about, he maybe mad, strange or good. But he was allowed to put his point across.
The lunatic lefties who want to stop him are far worse than anything i have witnessed in recent times.
Left want to shutdown anything that they dont like.

Nigel Farage has brought about this referendum almost single handidly. Vilified by many and painted as some sort of modern day Hitler by some, he has maintanied his coolhead and dignity throughout. He will be remembered in 40 years time as a man that many more should have listened to.

It's probably that kind of sentiment which has frightened off a lot of people from voting for brexit.
Every person I've spoken to, who you'd no doubt wouldn't regard as "true British", have said they're voting for brexit.
The main reason given is that they think the country is full & can't cope with uncontrolled migration NOT because they're British born and bred.

I would be all in on what is happening now, if they built 6 lane motorways and built more motorways, doubled the train stations and made every a road at least 2 lanes.
At the moment they know the tax from the newcomers equals zilch, so the rest of the working community will suffer, not the best way to run a country imo.

All Nigel Farage had done is allowed a number of people - virtually everyone on here - to enjoy a few months of deluded racist fantasies. Perhaps those that have being wetting themselves that nobody they know is voting remain, will reflect on what this says about their lives. Big world out there guys, get out more. Nigel Farage is a bigot and tonight he's a loser.

If we lost I would still have sought to meet NF one day and thank him for his incredible efforts.
I'm absolutely thrilled for the fella. All the shoite that's been thrown at him yet he persisted. Never gave up. even when he couldn't be an MP. Legend.

The diddums luvvies are all upsetty-wetty with Sir Nigel's victory speech. They STILL don't get it. A graceless piece of writing. .https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/24/nigel-farage-ugliness-bullet-fired
It did not take Nigel long to go back on one of the leave campaigns main pledges that the nhs would get all of the £350 million Britain gives to Europe every week. On the short way to the polling station last night this was the campign posters that was pinned to all the lamp posts.

After the polls closed last night he conceded defeat, then took it back. He then conceded defeat for a second time and took it back again. After winning he refuses to stand by the pledge made that the money saved on leaving Europe is going to go to the nhs. The nhs is going to get £50 extra every single day apparently and I have a campaign poster promising that 10 metres from my own house.

I, too, voted LEAVE with no real expectation of being on the winning side.
I considered my vote very carefully beforehand and, ultimately, it was a desire for a restoration of democracy that guided my hand, not any immigration or economic concerns. I believe the REMAIN campaign largely disregarded this issue to their cost. That said, I'm still astonished by the result. Absolutely incredible.

What you write is very true, Paddletoe, but the important thing to remember is this... in a few years time we can vote out that unelected prime minister if we so democratically decide.

I can't remember the last time my vote ended up on the winning side.
Lived in a number of parliamentary constituencies which were 'safe seats' for the incumbent and I wanted a different MP. My vote has never counted for anything previously.
An incredible effort from Nigel, despite years of unjustified vitriolic abuse thrown in his face by 'tolerant', 'progressive' lefties, all of which he has risen above magnificently.

I wouldn't mind if after winning the vote they had a plan for the future but I think many people who voted leave voted for a nostalgic past of their youth when the world was different. Heard one leave voter saying we can now get back to being the great industrial power we once were.

paddletoe, please stop whistling that sad tune, if the vote had gone the other way our 'future' would not have been any more certain, save absolute destruction.

I am pretty sure if the vote had gone the other way lots of the leave campaingers would be saying it was a very close result which still left the country divided.

And I'd like to add you will all be welcome - though your stockmarkets may scuttle here and there.
And may I say, fk Morgan Stanley, you bunch of brigands.

I am also pretty sure that if the vote had been 51.9 v 48.1 to remain Farage would not have been conceding it was a resounding victory to stay in Europe.

Happy to talk about other people but the title of this thread is about just one specific person so how can I post on this thread and not talk about him. Trust me, I will probably not discuss Nigel Farage in any other conversation outside this forum I have today.
