Can never understand why anyone would want that quality of life. Move away from London and then go back after a few years and you won't believe that you used to find it ok. Madness!

which part do you live in doctor, I think the North is more crowded than the south, maybe move to a quieter part of the outskirts, all big city's feel like a giant rat race

I lived in Fulham before moving sahf to Battersea, Tooting, St. Reatham and Mitchum in the late 80s / early 90s.

Best thing I ever did was head back north of the border to Rothesay.

Rat infested dog hole. Just leave you will never regret it.

Place is overcrowded and intimidating , spent a good 30 yrs of my life there and find going back very difficult , I find its ethnicity totally weird for a North-West European nation state and despise the ghettoisation policies of local councils.

There'll soon be mass culling, HAARP have an agenda.

A lot of people from East London have now branched out to Essex.

Nobody likes crowds but London has it's benefits like a huge transports network, move to the sticks and it's one bus an hour, unless you drive.

The Cartoon was my local.  Biker pub.  Used to go see Bad Influence whenever they were playing.

Trilby, are you sure you're not following me? I used to work behind the bar at the Cartoon when I was at college. Andrew Roachford used to play there a lot in those days. Always huge punch ups in the place.

London is nice and clean now -  used to be rat infested and polluted - dead fish in the Thames - it was the embarrasment of western Europe .

Now it is one of the finest cities in the whole world

ThInk Dave was too fat to be a copper Trilby. We used to go to the Half Moon in Herne Hill often, always decent bands playing there. Ever get up that way?

when you see programmes like Sweeney,Minder,old London films ,Steptoe and son etc  you can see how horrible and filthy London was ,no wonder half the indiginous  population was wiped out by the plague .

you,ve got to love they talk about it as though its a illage where they no everywhere and everyone,you can commute to york quicker than you can get from oneside of london to the other,why do people think they need the choice of 20,000 barista,s,then 90% of them go to costa,90% of londoners use the same shops as those people in leeds ,brum,newcastle,m,chester,the slightly different parts are overun by tourists

London is once again clean ,and the flower baskets are flourishing outside now pleasant pubs where  back in the day you'd get you throat cut by some gangster type

They're is a huge difference in quality of life in London.

You can go from run down estate to nice quiet areas in just a few hundred yards.

The one overriding factor deciding quality of life is money.

If you ain't got money or no chance of earning it you'll experience a different London.

I think Tooting bec lido was voted the best Lido in London about 5 years ago, think there's only about 15 of them though
