BB

it was 3am regularly and i can assure you over the week there was a mix of French, Polish, Northern Irish, Swedish,Spanish and Turks and all drank in the squares with the atmosphere very friendly.

I did hear on the news of slight disturbances between Northern Irish and Polish but never witnessed any.

I think it was the night before NI played Poland Huggy, Radio 5 was live from Nice and it said Poles, Irish and English were having a quiet drink when they came under attack from French youths

Huggy - I did similar with same result

stayed in Kortrijk, Belgium just over the border from Lille

went to 3 games, Swiss v Albania in Lens, Germany v Ukraine, Russia v Slovakia in Lille

Great atmosphere, fans from all countries mixing together. Not even a hint of trouble

Sadly with the next Euros being held in cities all over Europe rather than in 1 country and the next 2  WC's in Russia and Qatar, I can't see myself doing these jaunts again until they held again in a single country ( and which isn't a hellhole)

Previously have gone to Euros 2008. 2004, 2000, 1996 and WC 2006,1998, 1990 - all been brilliant

I go to most of my footy teams European jaunts but never had any intention of going to the Euros. I'm regretting it now seeing all the photo's and videos on Facebook.

My mate booked 2 days ago and got a ticket for the Germany game tomorrow night.

I am jealous of everyone that's been there.

Went to the fanzone in Belfast for the game, what an atmosphere and what a country GAWA.

Not long back from 10 days in Nice, Marseilles, Lyon and st Etienne, and saw no trouble at all other than Marseille - great fans everywhere, really good atmosphere, particular mention for the Belgian and Irish fans who were great. That said, if I never hear that moronic, witless 'Don't take me home' song again, I will die a happy man

Heading back to the Fanzone tomorrow night for the NI Welcome home. Thought we were a bit unlucky against Gareth Bale but good luck to the Welsh, scoring goals is what the game is about.

Proud of my wee nation and it's fans.

ROI were a credit to themselves as well.
