Farmers talk of quail products as ‘luxury’; eggs and meat are marketed as high-end. The reality couldn’t be more different. Factory farmed quail have lives often measured in days and endured in appalling conditions. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wider contrast between the rearing of animals and the marketing of products.
