ginola better keeper

How can you respect a man who earns millions and doesn't need the money, but advertises 'head and shoulders' shampoo? He looks such a pr@t
|
|
By:
Not such a prat as he looked today..surely England have a better goalkeeper than him?
Luckily the other 10 players got him out of it. Great match. |
|
By:
Agree, ebulGery, he should have saved that free kick. I think they should have tried forster or butland. I see that koeman is targeting forster to take him to everton.

And all this "Rooney is the man of the match" is guff. The difference was they brought on Vardy and Sturridge. Hodgson gets millions to play the wrong team. He gets it right when he is forced to make changes. |

F F is a great keeper. I should know, I helped pay his wages for years.

He never got it right, he got lucky.

We haden't had a goalie we can totally rely on since the great Gordon Banks.

Ray "How's my hair" Clemence would disagree..

Butland bettor even with his injury

I wanted us to go for him a couple of years ago. Unfortunately Billyboy only offered to mars bars and a packet of crisps (undisclosed of course)

Ray was orobably the nest best, but prone to the odd error. Think Poland 1973. It wasn't completely Hunter's fault.

|
By:
on the sauce early canny sluring already

Clemence was blameless against Poland in 73, Kenny

he wasn't imo, the ball went under his body after the Hunter missed tackle.Should hace saved it quite easily.

All goalkeepers are poor. It is almost inevitable that they will be.
If when as youngsters goalkeepers are picked to be in goal because they are tall, and not because they are good, then right there you are self selecting goalkeepers to be very bad on average. Now add that to the fact that as they get older, and taller, it is almost impossible for anyone over 6ft to have good reflexes. So you have the combination of selecting young players to play in goal that will have no apptitude for the job, allied to the inevitability of them also being too tall later in life to have quick reflexes necessary for the job. |

Anyway you passed that little test I set you, very well lads.

By:
Goalies are like jockeys in that most of the time you want one with a low c0ck-up potential who gets the job done. If they can pull off the odd 'worldie' save every now and again that's a bonus.
