.... with the second Geordie girl today.

I've had contract phones from the beginning of time and had to have a big plan (£40.00) to cover my usage.
Cut it back to £25.00 when I got bored with working but like a complete pratt I just kept it as was.

The fact is that I now am, using way less than a tenner, so decided to go PAYG and with Asda as they use the same network that I was on.

The problem is having to phone every month, to top up and buy a bundle, as they call it.

It wouldn't be so bad but today I had the ultimate Geordie girl that I hadn't a hope in hell of understanding!
Talking at me like an effing machine gun, with all words joined together, and consonants in the middle of words missing.

I asked her to slow down but she was incapable of doing so to the point where I just had to hang up!

I let myself calm down before trying again, and having told her I couldn't understand her, she started shouting at me.
She couldn't understand that it isn't a volume thing, and I have to wonder how many others are as exasperated as me, because I don't believe I'm the only one!

I asked her to please confirm things with a yes or no answer, but obviously that is not in the script.
So, I thanked her for her help, and told her we were getting nowhere, and bid her goodbye.

I can just go top up in a shop, or wherever, but a bundle is a more economical deal.
There must surely be a way to sort this on line, but I'm still to find it.

Do any of you guys have the knowledge please?

top up in store to put credit on the phone, then to buy a bundle just text the number of the bundle to 2732 and the cost is taken off the credit

it's here
.https://mobile.asda.com/bundles

it's very easy

Yeah, I managed to find some advice but it didn't say top up first!

Don't have an Asda near me but I think Post Office do it.

I thought that because my debit card is linked to the account, that the request for "Auto 7" would be just taken from my card.

Did she say she was Mortal ? That would mean she had been drinking heavily last night ..

if the bundle costs 25 a month then just top up say 100 and then the bundle just recurs every month coming off the balance so you have 4 months

Why don't you get a SIM only contract, Aunty? You can get them for a tenner a month and you'll have a thousand minutes per month, a thousand texts a month and X amount of data. It's done on a direct debit so you don't have to top up each month.

Thanks s.kenbo.....

I thought I was on sim only, but it's not a contract, so I can just walk if I want!

Also I want to keep my number, which may not be possible with these deals, and plus staying with the same network, as I have three phones (two never used)
and all locked to Orange/EE.

I'll get £21.00 of credit and then see if it sticks to the wall!

The thing is I'm not used to this crap, and it must be the same as for having to put money in meters for your utilities!

I might just go back to contract, with the lowest price plan, and get another new phone, and sell the others!

@Coachbuster: Oslo is not in Norway. It's near the middle of Czechosloslovakia.

@Aunty Post: Phones can be unlocked for a fiver. Try your nearest street market. Failing that, Google is your friend.

Oslo's not in Norway?

It's either been moved then, or my Geography teacher was useless.

What I want to know is why s.kenbo is drunk while I'm still sober. There is no justice in this fantasy world.
