Remember watching Butterflies as a kid with my parents. Geoffrey Palmer in Butterflies always reminded me of my dad and he probably thought I was a budding Nicholas Lyndhurst, and he'd probably have been right

Too far fetched to be taken seriously. So failed on the satire/funny intention. It was just silly.

Not one to go analysing comedy but talk about missing the point ffs. The whole series were far fetched but dozens of celebrities fell for it hook, line and sinker. That is precisely why it is so funny. It satirised modern, sensationalist news programmes by being even more over the top and plenty of people couldn't tell the difference. Dr Fox smashing a crab with a hammer because it had more in common, genetically, with pdophiles then you or I, I mean wtf?
