Only £150m a year to move all the paperwork from Brussels to Strasbourg once a month, its very important that the 4 days is spent in Strasbourg because the French say so, so it must be true.
£150m a year seems veyr reasonable, maybe they should do it twice a month instead of once a month too give taxpayers real value for money.

The EU is funded by the member countries. Where do these member countries get the money from, well the individual taxpayer.
It is plainly obvious the EU have been far too profligate. Greece being the worst example, of course one can blame Greece, but there was also a responsibility on the EU to ensure that individual tax payers money was not being wasted on some gigantic spend up. |

The Greek PM has said sanctions imposed on Russia over Ukraine are not productive.
If these sanctions are over Crimea, who if it is not part of Russia what is, most of the people are Russian. This is insanity. But this is what has caused most of the problems with the EU ,we allow ideological and political thinking to influence it. If it just stuck to business which is what it is for, we probably would have no problem now  .Letting in all those ex East European countries was political, this has caused the immigration problem. They should only have let in one at a time. Only when one was on its feet could we let others in. Our country should have withdrawn us the moment they tried to let them in the EU, because it broke the EU's own rules. It was obvious what was going to happen |

The EU is not there to make Europe into one big country.
The EU is not there to bring down Russia. The EU has no obligation to let in Muslim refugees. Although it is having a job keeping them out. It was set up for mutual business interests, nothing else! That is why people voted to join to begin with. People have been betrayed. |
