Barack Obama is about to make a huge announcement about UFOs and extra-terrestrial activity, it’s been reported.
According to The Mirror, the 44th U.S. President will make the disclosure before he leaves office, after coming under pressure from Hillary Clinton, who has made similar promises.
These claims come from the executive director of the U.S-based Paradigm Research Group, Stephen Bassett, and he says David Cameron will be quick to follow in Obama’s footsteps as well.
After lobbying the White House for 20 years, Bassett is pretty excited about finally being ‘on the brink’ of uncovering the truth.
The 69-year-old told the Daily Express:
This will be a reality this year and across the front pages of newspapers across the world. ET is real.
The most significant news story that has ever been broken. We are going to get disclosure this year. I am not sure who will win the election, but I think Obama will be the disclosure president.
He will be looking at a Nobel Prize for making an announcement like that.
He added: “I am 85 per cent sure Obama will make the announcement before he leaves office and within days your Prime Minister David Cameron will follow.â€
These claims come months after Clinton told Jimmy Kimmel that she was in favour of transparency on ET and UFOs.
The Democratic candidate – speaking about the issue for the first time on TV – told Kimmel:
I’m going to do it again. There’s a new name for UFOs. It’s unexplained aerial phenomena.
That’s the new nomenclature. I would like us to go into those files and hopefully make as much of that as public as possible.
If there’s nothing there, let’s tell people there’s nothing there. If there is something there, unless it’s a threat to national security, we ought to share it.
It looks like we’re finally getting closer to discovering whether the truth is actually out there. Mulder would be proud…

We know there is nothing in the solar system apart from ourselves capable of putting a satellite into earth orbit.
Interstellar distances are so vast as to make such travel for complex living organisms impractical and not worth the candle. Robotic craft are a possibility on the other hand and can't be ruled out entirely should one admit advanced life forms could have developed within "touching" distance so the speak.Our galaxy is about 100,000 light years across so would doubt that reaching earth would be a practical proposition for anything from beyond the nearby stars. |

Every scientist and layman can only tell ye what they know, and work out their facts on that basis. This is all about travel - time. Just because we can only hop along at 20 times the speed of sound doesn't mean another solar system - funny men with no ears and eyes, do the same...

Depends what you're made of g2d. The human body can only withstand something like 9g for any length of time which limits the acceleration and deceleration rate of any passenger craft. Even if an organism can withstand 10 times that it would take an age to accelerate to any meaningful speed for interstellar transport and then slow down again not to mention the energy needed to do it.

Science fiction writers invent all sorts of expressions for overcoming the time and distance problem. Some serious scientists like Hawking theorise worm holes. That doesn't mean they are practical propositions for space travel.
As I said, I am a sceptic and will wait to see what is announced if anything. Until then I will continue to drag my knuckles. Send some bananas along with the monkey nuts please. |

Having said that I think there is a realistic possibility of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe and would not be astonished if we eventually found evidence of this. It's the travelling in UFO's to meet us which I strongly doubt.

It's just a discussion matey, i've always believed in something else out there and just get sick of scientists and know alls telling me and everyone else that it's impossible etc etc. As i said they can only go on what they know. if the human mind (as we know it) can't comprehend time travel et al; it does not mean another 'race' doesn't...

"They're Here" he told them. One could go on and on, the clear evidence of a cover up is abundant. Let's hope Obama does reveal all. We have the right to know. More likely however, that it will be more misinformation, like the Roswell weather balloons, to throw us of the track.

A lot of people blithely assuming that life has somehow also arisen elsewhere, outside of our solar system, seem unaware of what's known as an Observation Selection Effect. We are not on some randomly selected planet where the appearance of life would imply it ought to appear on any other suitable planet. We, as evidence of life ourselves, are in fact observing from a biased perspective. Anyone who considers the question is necessarily doing so from a completely un-random planet, one where life does exist. You cannot then go on to claim it must have happened elsewhere.
It's frankly astonishing that life ever arose. The odds against it ever happening are astronomically larger than the number of atoms in the observable universe. Fair enough, it obviously happened once, here, but to claim it could possibly ever have happened twice (or more) is bonkers. |

The universe is vast, but it had to be. It would be impossible to be human and at the same time be able to see the end of the universe, if for example the universe was only 100 miles wide there would be a problem in that we would be able to see outside the universe...with a good telescope.
