Been with BT Internet for over five years now and been thinking about switching for a while.

The final straws have arrived now that they're putting their prices up YET again in July and their ever increasing stream of drivel has become a flood, now that they appear to have joined the Remainian bandwagon ... https://home.bt.com/lifestyle/house-home/12-food-and-drink-favourites-that-could-be-threatened-by-brexit-11364064032288

I rarely watch TV, so have no need for a TV / Sports package.

I have no mobile signal, so have no need for a Handy package.

Just a phone line and regular broadband that are not going to crash / slow down at busy times thank you very much.

Current download speed is circa 2.4Mbps & upload = 0.4, according to http://www.speedtest.net/ - so I'm not asking for much.

Currently considering SSE and the Post Office but have heard they're not too reliable.

Any ideas / recommendations from the CC crew?  Especially from someone living in a rural area.

TIA

I've been with Zen Internet for 10 years, they're expensive but extremely reliable, no drop outs or throttling, I need a stable connection 24hrs a day for my work so it's worth paying the extra for the quality of service and they've always been very helpful.

Cheers Al.  Zen sounds a bit beyond my needs but I'll check it out.

Any others peeps?

Anyone had experience with SSE or the Post Office?

As you are, presumably, in a "rural area" - can you not get Virgin Cable?

No cable here, onlooker.  Thanks though.

Zen looks very reasonable, Al and costs £10 / month less than I'm currently paying.  Cheers for the headsup on that one.  I'll call them tomorrow for the full sp.
