Of course, Newham isn't really the East End. It's east London. It would be like calling Fulham or Hammersmith the West End.
The East End is your Aldgate, Whitechapel, Stepney, Mile End etc. Basically, the borough of Tower Hamlets. |

Immediately someone of another hue moves in on a street, everybody moves because they fear a depreciation in their house prices. I do not like seeing whole areas occupied by a different culture, be better if they dotted themselves about a bit, we would not notice them. But it happens |

Once people become better off they will move from poorer areas.
This also leaves the poorer areas open to immigrants as they tend to be poor. I hate it, I do not want to see whole areas devoted to a different culture. |

We have a smallish are where I am which tends to Muslim dominated. One knows when one is in that area.
Not too much at the moment. But it could expand? 1 mosque. I am easy with that as long as it is a peaceful one. |

The black bus driver nailed it with his story about the white girl being beaten up by Asian girls.
He felt sorry for her knowing she could neither fight back or respond to their insults as that would be deemed racist. All the laws are against the indigenous population. Having said all that it was a disappointing programme. |

People always move around, borders are man made, but what makes me laugh is the c0ck er knees are complaining about who has moved into their 'spititual' East London manor just as much as the country bumpkins are now moaning about the c0ck er knees moving into their quaint little villages

Just finished watching it...twas rubbish.Very repetitive and honestly..the tanned up woman with the two tanned up daughters going way over the top because her daughter was moving to Rayleigh..Jesus Christ..Rayleigh is half n hour down the A127 from Newham ffs!!

Yup, thought exactly the same. I can only imagine that the mother and daughters saw this as an opportunity to audition for 'The only way is Essex'. Bordering on ridiculous how they looked and how they behaved. A terrible advertisement for east-end people of yesteryear. Whole programme was about nothing simply because the programme makers did not understand the east-end of London at all, with its sharply contrasting, and often daft views (Krays folk heroes yet they extorted money from the working class themselves, is but on example). |

I think i want out re Brexit- but having watched 20 minutes of this - i'm wavering -it appears mass immigration into the area can only improve the populous - what a bunch the indigenous 'cockneys' are!- if people really are like this - and no doubt we saw their best side- then gawd help London
