actually yes used to do bus trips to their store west country
thought I was imagining it, was taken there to an out of town store when I had a day off school as a kid, never seen one since or before, just remember how huge it was, and empty of people.
Delta ,do you live in the Devponshire area ? i remember seeing Leos down there .
In Suffolk and Essex the larger Co-op operations were known as Solar .
I think Somerfield is now defunct. I also haven't seen a Kwik Save for years.

anyone in their 50,s remember buying norse lager from fine fare about 10p a can equivalent of ace lager of a few years back

There's a Budgens on Upper Street In Islington, of all places. There was a Sperrings near my old house, which became a Circle K, then something else, now it's a Nisa. Obviously gone downhill!
^^ hope not , i go in there sometimes to get some peace and quiet
