Why do you want a 6 pack?

Yes it is nice when a man has a nice body, but give me a man who makes me laugh any day.  And you can learn to make someone laugh.

someone on some tv health show said many people don't have the body type to get a six pack. might not be possible. but one of the contributing factors is body fat. you need to lose all the body fat to reveal muscles. this can be knife edge dangerous. your body needs fat stores as a safety valve. It resists every effort to get rid of it. to burn fat you need to deactivate three hormones. Estrogen(more prominent in women) insulin and cortisol.
small amounts of protein activate fat burning hormones. muscle builers favour whey protein. but thats a ropey type of protein that gives you a raggedy look. fish/nuts/seeds. better. fish has near zero fat. Cut out all refined carbs. including sugar. the body burns these first before going to fat stores. so while complex sugars are available you will not burn the fat. Exercise like a nut. But you've probably seen muscle builders faint in lifting sessions in youtube. no energy stores. they are constantly eating protein and veg. many many meals a day. too much protein will give you kidney stones. only small amounts of protein are needed to activate fat burning hormones. palm size. more protein more bulk(and pain). muscle builders also cut out sodium. youtube has a plethora of exercise routines. but any exercise will strip the fat stores from you.

6 pack is all about diet.

I if you want to attract women you need to get a decent six figure amount in cash not a six pack instead of a belly.

I bought a 15 pack of Guinness from the supermarket the other day which was cheaper than the 12 pack sitting on the same shelf.

Nothing to do with the OP but the word 'pack' just reminded me. That's all.

Someone told me to do crunchies. I ate ten every day and put on 3 stone. Sad
Report scandanavian_haven May 15, 2016 1:55 PM BST
You need a flat stomach before you start doing sits up to get a six pack. No point trying if you're carrying timber, lots of cardio first, buy an exercise mat and follow any half decent youtube video that shows you the different ways of toning your abs, don't just pull your body up and down, there are many different types of abs exercises.

The first thing is to stop eating potatoes, pasta, rice and bread. These are the foods that give you a one pack and you need to get rid of the one pack before you even think about getting a six pack.

Just buy a comfy bed and a big tv. All this trying to impress people for a few moments of ultimate satisfaction. (pop video with ladies and their tools).

mokegibboni is spot on.

Stay off the carbs and sugar. Meat, veg and salad. Whole milk, cheese. Basically eat fat.

It works.

Report pablo-fanque May 17, 2016 7:41 PM BST
caloric deficit = weight loss , this will be fat + muscle

to prevent muscle loss, you need a high protein diet ( about 1 gram per pound of body weight per day) and to lift weights 3 times a week .

Seems to me that people make their lives a misery when they take exercising and or dieting to the extreme.
Food is enjoyable but to restrict it to certain types a deprive yourself of stuff you enjoy is just stupid.
And daily moderate exercise is enough. A brisk walk through the park or running along with your dog, that sort of thing.

I have seen pictures of 'six packs' and they look horrible.  What is wrong with just a nice flat stomach?  Or even a little belly.#

I think body builders look gross and so do most women.

You shouldn't need to screaming unless you live in a monastery or look like Trump but don't have money.

i have muscles and they are protected by fat. Have you learned nothing from the great belly fights of Larry Holmes in the eighties. Many Bellies shook and flopped to entertain us.
