Thanks for your reply, yes, it is a Windows issue but I've fixed it. I just recorded a macro then deleted bits until it worked. All you need is the following if you're interested...
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _ "URL HERE" ActiveWindow.Visible = False Not sure if this is below what you already know re Java, but these tutorials are good for novices... https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-java |

I've never looked at VB but had a go at Python, Java and C#.
I think I'm OK with the concepts of programming, I'm old school and unfamiliar with oop but getting my head around it. My problems are with Android Studio and linking things like buttons. When I can get it to a variable I know what to do in Java but the program is just so complicated. I've a few idea's for apps I think would work but I've just too much on my plate between gardening, astronomy, poker, chit chat and programming :D |
