Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 11:05 AM BST
truly embarrassing and his selection in the first place could never be justified

Thats the Welsh regional PR system for you. In S Wales West regional area, Labour gets 69,000 votes twice more votes than plaid who came 2nd and gets zero seats. While Plaid gets 2, Ukip 1 and cons 1.Laugh

agree with burton-embarrassing.

also notice mark reckless was standing(not sure if he was elected), thought he was from the south east of england.
Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 5:33 PM BST
I have no problem with him he is respected within the party and is not tainted like Hamilton
Report knot in wood • May 6, 2016 5:40 PM BST
surely there was some welsh living candidates they could have chosen burton, hamilton will be a disaster for the party in wales and they were just starting to get a foothold.
Report Early Morning Riser • May 6, 2016 6:23 PM BST
Yes Knot, Mark reckless got a seat alsoLaugh

'Mr Farage insisted people had been turned off by Jeremy Corbyn's extremism and lack of patriotism.''

They obviously prefer their interests to be represented by Mr Hamilton and UKIP.

Rather than give Labour more license to simply sell them down the river.
Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 7:07 PM BST
on the national news I saw tonight the political editor was asked who had done well out of last night's elections and unsurprisingly UKIP never got a mention
Report Dr Crippen • May 6, 2016 7:28 PM BST
Labour's grief over last night's results were there for all to see when Diane Abbott was being interviewed.

I thought she was about to burst into tears.
Report akabula • May 6, 2016 7:37 PM BST
How bad is that. Neil feckin Hamilton. Laugh
Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 7:42 PM BST
have you noticed how Abbott's voice has toned down to a quiet, calm whisper? she's been having elocution lessons off Thatcher's old teacher

American guy on Irish news last night when asked if he thought Trump would be elected ,said he thought Clinton would probably beat him ,he then went on to say that the Democrats were like the British Labour Party ,in that they welcomed immigrants so they would vote for them ,do others seeing the Labour Party giving away Britain ?
Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 8:40 PM BST
giving? they gave it years ago and freely admitted doing so
Report jollyswagman • May 6, 2016 8:41 PM BST
bb how the hell did hamilton get selected? was there avote by party members?
Report Burton-Brewers • May 6, 2016 8:42 PM BST
it was done by the NEC they over ruled Nigel who didn't want him standing
Report workrider • May 6, 2016 8:42 PM BST
Maybe the people have had enough then ...
Report akabula • May 6, 2016 9:29 PM BST
Hamilton has less credibility than the likes of Galloway or even Sheridan.
A total embarrassment to politics.
Report Capt__F • May 6, 2016 10:41 PM BST
good fit for the Welsh
Report anxious • May 6, 2016 10:54 PM BST
Hamilton a third rate low grade piece of Murdoch garbage
Report Facts • May 7, 2016 6:30 AM BST
A shameless individual, with zero integrity.
Report Dr Crippen • May 7, 2016 8:55 AM BST
Hamilton has less credibility than the likes of Galloway or even Sheridan.

That's clearly not the case in Wales, they've just elected him.

I could never understand the Welsh love of Labour. What has following Labour ever done for Wales except to keep them in their place?

Perhaps the Welsh are starting to wake up at last.
