Hardly flinched after 25 minutes of well prepared questioning and evidence, then an attack from Clegg, and another from John Mann. He finished as relaxed as he started without a trace of emotion. You see few politicians with thicker skin than Ken. |

I would agree with that foinavon and is defending Hitler's good points...he did not have a lot, anti semitism anyway? As an experienced politiciam though, he should know standing up For Adolf was never going to go down well still perhaps he just wanted publicity..some people maintain any publicity, even bad, is better than none |

Livingstone wasn't standing up for Hitler.
Livingstone was simply trying to explain the difference between a Zionist and an anti-Semite. He said that Hitler could be called a Zionist because at one stage he was in favour of the Jews having their own country. That makes Hitler a Zionist. While at the same time Hitler was a practising anti-Semite. No wonder Livingstone got himself into trouble when people can't even understand that. |

Scratch the surface of an anti-Zionist and you'll usually find an anti-Semite underneath. That is not universally true....I quite like the Jews. But I do not believe Israel has a right to exist. The difference is massive. It's the difference between positive and negative, they are polar opposites. This isn't news, the idea of transitioning from "getting rid of them by moving them to we don't give a f*ck" to "let's just kill them" was a later transition, this is established fact. It's interesting you quote (from wiki of course) 1933. Have you ever heard of anne frank? Probably. Did you know that her family was actually German not dDutch, most people don't. And that they like many others fled Germany in 33/34, the exact year you quote, because it was obvious then what was coming from that great benevolent "zionist" Hitler? I am so sick of the left defending their own bigotry. |

And re your wiki copy/paste, how many actually got any possesions back that they "temporarily gave up"? The lies told by the nazis were incredible. When they weren't confiscating things diredtly fom jews, they were lying to them to get them anyway.
