It was quite boring. I usually like Louis's stuff, his Jimmy Savile one was good but never quite managed to out him.

I love LT but i gave this show a miss a it is clear that alcoholics die and are addicted.
|

By:
i enjoyed it very eye opening for a medium drinker like myself

I love a knees-up as much as the next man but these people, eesh, what a bunch of moaning minnies.

I did end up watching it and it was nearly the opposite from what i thought it would be. A lot of the people they chose to put forward were people that reacted to certain things in there lives rather than them being complete bums. Probably a good way for the producers to put the show across to the public as so.

Probably not too much mileage in talking to people dribbling, vomiting and sitting in their own faeces.

I caught up on this. The abusive arrogant ars*hole going out with the nice French woman woman needs a slap
.What a horrible piece of work, really nasty man. I don't understand how women put up with men like that. |

By:
Yes JC - that fellow was appalling!

I felt sorry for her, I just wanted to give her a big hug :(

JC - I was thinking exactly the same thing. Came across as a very pleasant person.
The documentary also showed the excellent medical workers we have in this country. |

I looked after a few in end stage liver failure due to too much pop. Not something I'd recommend. At that time you used to see hardened drinkers doing themselves in from a lifetime of drinking after forty or fifty years. Now they cane it so hard from such a young age, often girls and they can be completely banjaxed in their thirties.

The man who worked in medicine and couldn't take rejection - it was like two different people. When he was showing LT his 'Guys and Dolls' photo and then he was on the street, being helped back to his bed by the medical staff!

I remember a chap called Rex. Very morose fellow and absolutely riddled with psoriasis as I recall. No jolly tales about life as a bon viveur. Just what seemed a miserable existence being finished off with a miserable death. Nobody there to mourn him because he'd driven them all away with his drinking.

Still I'm very much enjoying this Sam Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout.
