I think she has done a great job, and I certainly wouldn't do her job if you paid me billions.  What, be a sitting target for ISIS etc as well as having no privacy and having to work at 90!

We need someone as head of state for all the visiting dignitaries etc, would you rather have Blair, Brown etc etc?  I would never curtsey to her, but you don't need to.

I don't think it is a coincidence that all the best periods in our history we have had a queen not a king as our head

Strangely many criticise HM on a costs basis although I'm sure it's just to camouflage other reasons.
The reality is that the Queen's estates earn circa £260m per annum and of that £220m is gifted to the treasury.
I agree Annie the Queen has served the country well.

What people do not understand is that we would have approximately, if not more, costs if we had no queen.  There would have to be someone else to do her job.
