Global stock markets hit fresh highs for the year as the price of gold,silver and oil soared.
With blue-chip miners leading the way in London,the FTSE 100 index of leading companies gained 51.83 points to 6405.35
The rally in London was mirrored around the world with benchmarks across EUROPE and in the US touching new highs for the year.
