Sorry guys this has probably been done/asked a million times before.
I have been a long time layer on here on & off for years part time to make a few quid here & there. I'm now on 3 months garden leave and was going to have a bash at doing this "full time" and see if I can graft a living from it.
Any tips on does & dont's? I can't get my head around the Betfair Premier thing. Anyone give me a heads up on how it works in terms of if I win x amount they charge me for it?
If by premier you mean premium charge then the simplest way to look at it is that on ordinary PC you get 'taxed' at 20% plus the shortfall between your com rate and 3%, making the odds you match at at least 20% worse.
If you still manage to win under those conditions then you enter the higher rate club where 20 becomes either 40/50/60 depending how efficient you were in winning the profit.
If you have 'take home' profits (ie after PC and comm) of over 350k then you get charged HR The question is does your 'system' have a decent enough return over 40% to live on?
Most will say no chance and have ambition stifled by bf's greed and spend the gardening leave....gardening or looking for alternatives.

I'm told it's easy (although we all win on BF). Don't you just win for a number of weeks then register a small loss for a week before the PC is due to be applied?
