Saw it about 18 months ago when they did the last tour and I agree was really good. Would definitely see again if they did another tour.

Bought this album when I was 15 way back in the 70s would absolutely love to see this show but having seen the reviews you are loving it or hating it depending on whether you are a 70s fan of the album.after a half decent Cheltenham we fly into Gatwick then go to Tenerife for a fortnight because the wife probably wouldn't like it.

I wouldn't say I was a great fan of the album topshot, I was more interested in the special effects and pyrotechnics I had heard about. I was impressed with the orchestra though, and I didn't realise the conductor was Jeff Wayne until he got an ovation at the end. The show choice available in London at the minute is not that great to be honest.

Burton, I think this was the final hurrah for this show as they probably didn't have many options after this, The kids wouldn't of been interested trip advisor says many people didn't return after the interval, but most agreed that the orchestra were superb, just thought it was prudent to head to the sun and not be disappointed

Do they still use the Richard Burton narration? His narration along with the music was more atmospheric and tense than any film could hope to be.

For the live show it is narrated by a 3d hologrpah of Liam Neeson. I thought he was very good and suited the show well. Obviously not as good as Richard Burton but then it a musical performance and the alternative would be someone lipsyncing Richard Burton's narration.

I bought the Jeff Wayne CD when it first came out - absolutely brilliant ...when I played it in my V12 XJS - made me drive like crazy (being chased by the Aliens)...
