there are numerous films and documentaries about the Kray twins.
a whole raft of films about Hitler which if put end to end might be longer than the war.
these tv films make money for someone. instead of burying these guys in the past, society dredges up every aspect of their lives.
the papers tell you all you might want to know about the Yorkshire Ripper... how is he today?
prison updates of all the celebrity criminals.
these criminals are fueling the media world. people love crime stories. criminals sell their stories.
society values someone who kills more than the average punter that keeps his head down.
how much cash do they spend looking after the ripper a year or any prisoner?
it costs £35,000 to keep a prisoner in jail a year. When he gets out he might get jobseekers at £70? a week - that's about £3,500 a year.

people are still shouting out... Barabbas Barabbas Barabbas.

i was put in a hotel for three weeks cos of asbestos. it was horrible. portable tv with five stations? no freeview. single bed. cost my council £1580. I offered to stay with the parents for £50 a week. Was told no provision could be made to pay a private individual. I was forced into a hotel. cost them ten times what it shoulda been. Government spending.

The library had no books on Gladstone or Peel...but there were 10 books about Hitler.

and I've never seen a documentary or biopic of either. Gerard Butler would make a great Robert Peel
